Time flowed quietly, and several months passed in the blink of an eye.

One day, PRL suddenly received a phone call. The caller claimed to be from Columbia University’s National Laboratory. They had followed PRL’s suggestion, using two sets of cobalt-60 to simulate mirror images—rotating one set to the left and the other to the right. The result showed that the two were asymmetrical, not matching the physical characteristics of mirror-image objects.

PRL (overjoyed):

Isn’t this exactly the result predicted in our two children’s paper?

PRL (repeating into the receiver and murmuring to itself):

If two physical objects rotating in opposite directions are not mirror images of each other, it must be due to parity nonconservation.

The elderly PRL’s firm and powerful voice echoed through the receiver, sending ripples through space and time. At Columbia University’s National Laboratory, a group of experimental physicists immediately stopped their work, listening attentively to PRL’s resolute, authoritative, and magnetic voice, their eyes welling up with tears.

They hugged each other tightly (crying tears of joy):

We have finally proven with facts that two physical objects rotating in opposite directions can become mirror images of each other. If they cannot, it is due to parity nonconservation.
