- "Thing-in-Itself" (Noumenon): The entity as it exists independently of our perception and cognition[9,10].
- "Phenomenon": The representation of the "thing-in-itself" as it appears to us after being processed by our innate forms of cognition (e.g., space, time, categories like causality).
- The Topological Vortex is the "Thing-in-Itself." It is an objectively existing noumenal entity with a specific topological structure. It exists independently of being observed. Its properties (e.g., topological invariants, spin dynamics) are absolute and objective.
- The "quantum phenomena" we observe experimentally (e.g., particle tracks, interference patterns) are "Phenomenal Entities." These are the derivative effects manifested in our macroscopic world after an irreversible topological interaction occurs between the topological vortex and our measuring apparatus (which is itself a complex system composed of vast numbers of topological vortices).
