2. The Unity of Opposites in Topological Vortices: Chirality Contradiction as the Basic Unit of Spacetime Structure

2.1 The Opposition and Unity of Chirality: Physical Manifestation of Contradiction's Universality

In topological vortex theory, vortex chirality (handedness) is a fundamental topological invariant. Left- and right-handed vortices are diametrically opposed in their mathematical description and physical effects, akin to the mutually exclusive and distinct nature of opposing sides in a contradiction. Yet, this opposition is not absolute:

(1) Interdependence: Left- and right-handed vortices always appear in pairs or transform into each other through dynamical processes; an absolute "single-chirality background" does not exist. This aligns perfectly with the principle that opposites "presuppose each other for their existence."

(2) Symmetry and Changing: Under ideal conditions, the system possesses left-right chirality symmetry (unity); however, symmetry changing in specific physical processes leads to the temporary dominance of one chirality (opposition). This dialectical relationship between symmetry and changing vividly embodies the identity and struggle within contradictions.

(3) Complementary Chirality Describes Spacetime Structure: A single chirality cannot fully describe the topological structure of spacetime; only the unity of opposites between left and right chirality can generate rich spacetime geometry. This resonates with the dialectical materialist view that "opposites together constitute the essence of a thing."

2.2 Vortex Creation and Annihilation: Qualitative Change Driven by Contradictory Struggle

Topological vortices are generated through topological phase transitions, corresponding to symmetry-changing processes in the superfluid background. This process reflects the law of the transformation of quantity into quality:

(1) Quantitative Change Stage: Fluctuations gradually accumulate in the superfluid background without forming stable vortices.

(2) Nodal Point: The sudden creation of topological charge (chirality) marks a leap in the system's topological properties [1].

(3) Qualitative Change Outcome: Stable vortex structures form, and the system enters a new phase (vortex phase).

This process is the physical manifestation of "the intensification of contradictions leading to fundamental changes in the nature of things." The generation of vortices stems from the inherent instability of the background fluid (internal contradiction), and the emergence of new structures introduces new contradictory relations (e.g., interactions between vortices).
